GUIDE TO EXPORT FROM GUINEA BISSAU


 

1/ - FORMALITIES FOR OBTAINING THE STATUS OF EXPORTERS / IMPORTERS IN GUINEA BISSAU

To exercise the exporter or importer activity in Guinea Bissau (national, non-national, physical and moral) must be licensed (Import - Export), which provides access to commercial activity.

Place: Ministry of Commerce, General Directorate of Internal Trade, National Register of traders

List of documents to provide :
 
-       A written request to the Director General of Trade, Tourism and Crafts;
 
-      Title (Certificate) Society (Incorporation) for legal persons;
 
-       Two (2) passport-sized photos ;
 
-       A photocopy of the personal identification documents of the officer of the corporation or individual: Identity room or CEC (Citizen Card Abroad) ;
 
-       A copy of NIF (Tax Identification Number) ;
 
-       Company registry ;
 
-       Tax registration ;
 
-       Tax return ;
 
-       Certificate of non-payment ;
 
-       A criminal record ;
 
-       A Refund certificate ;
 
-       A certificate of non-bankruptcy ;
 
-       A civil Declaration of applicant - the person states in writing that it is not forbidden to do business (the statements of two witnesses are important)..
 
After receiving the request, a tour of the premises is carried out by some services (Public Health, Bissau City Council, etc.) to ensure that the company has minimum requirements to carry on business.

2/ - EXPORT PROCEDURES OF GUINEA BISSAU

The steps to the arrival of the goods at the border of Guinea Bissau: (Case of cashew nuts - the main export product)
 
  • You must have authorization for export. The newsletter is made and sold by the Chamber of Commerce. The form must be completed and the Ministry of Commerce should be contacted, specifically the External Trade Department of Management and pay an amount of 15,000 FCFA. Permission is granted by the Director General of Commerce.  After getting permission, the person goes to the General Directorate of Customs to get clearance of the export goods..
  • In BRPE (Register Bulletin Scheduled Export), we attached the contract for the sale of the product, the phytosanitary certificate, credit card or bank transfer for capital repatriation equipment. A copy of the license of Export (actually the Ministry of Commerce), the certificate of receipt from Finance.
  • The exporter must also obtain the following documents: Plant Health (Plant Protection Service), Certificate of Utility (Ministry of Finance), Credit Card (Bank). BRPE (Chamber of Commerce).
 

3/- IMPORT PROCEDURES IN GUINEA BISSAU

For the release of goods from Guinea Bissau, you must go to the administrative services of the Port of Guinea Bissau (ApGb) and present a copy of the clearance and  B.R.P.E
 
The steps before customs clearance :
 
  • obtain an authorization under Import: Registry Bulletin Scheduled to import (BRPI). The newsletter is made and sold by the Chamber of Commerce. The form must be completed and address it to the Ministry of Commerce (the Department of External Trade Directorate). The cost of the card is 15,000 FCFA. Permission is granted by the Director General of Commerce 
  • After getting permission, the applicant addresses the General Directorate of Customs to the effects of liquidation the Import.
  • In B.R.P.I (Register Bulletin of Planned Import), we attached the contract for the sale of the product, Phytosanitary Certificate, Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Quality, Invoices; copy of the license Import (Established at the Ministry of Commerce) Certificate receipt of Finance.
