In Burkina Faso, obtaining the status of exporter/importer is done in two steps:

 (i) registration in the commercial register;

 (ii) obtaining the merchant card.

In its objectives, the CEMAC Treaty defines the full realization of the CEMAC common market, the promotion of national markets through the elimination of obstacles to intra-Community trade, coordination of development programs, harmonization of industrial projects, creation of a true African common market.
